The Telus Plaza Redevelopment wins a Downtown Development Corporation (DDC) Award of Excellence in its 2001 Awards Program. The project, originally by Barry Johns Architects and completed by Stantec Architecture Ltd. is a culmination of a relationship with Telus that dates back to 1989 and the completion of the original BJAL award winning Telus Technology Park in 1992. This project is seen as a new approach to urban redevelopment where mixed use facilities at the end of their first life cycle are reborn with an emphasis on the public realm.
