Corser Residence

Crafted from the site of a family lumber mill, this contemporary log cabin celebrates the owners’ heritage. Heavy timber sections seasoned for years prior to builiding, are stacked and pinned to form a series of parallel walls that frame views and increase the scale of the structure within the vast landscape. A floating metal wing shelters a small upper studio from the intense sun and defers to the weathered burners of the mill site. An intensive green roof vegetable garden covers the main roof over the garage and living areas.
