BJ(A)L in association with Gibbs Gage Architects has envisioned this K-12 school set in the shadow of the world famous coulees in the Alberta Badlands. The interior views are oriented to the dramatic striated sedimentary rocks that form the valley of the site. The project orients it’s views to this eastern shelf while using a solid trombe wall to shelter the building against the intense sun on the west facade that faces the highway.
